About Alison Goldsworthy

Alison Goldsworthy is Director of Wales’ first Campaigns consultancy, Task2, which provides strategic campaigns advice and helps organisations develop and motivate networks of supporters. She links Wales to Westminster as a Consultant for Maitland Political.

As Director of Communications and Events for the Kidney Wales Foundation Alison ran the campaign to move Wales from an opt in to an opt out system of organ donation. Previously, Alison worked as Welsh Policy Officer, then Campaigns Manager for a big disability charity and for Ed Davey MP, Jenny Randerson AM and Kirsty Williams AM. She went on to manage Kirsty’s successful campaign to become leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats.

An active Liberal Democrat, Alison is Deputy Chair of the party’s Federal Executive.

Alison regularly comments on political issues for the media. She has appeared on BBC, Sky and ITV. She mainly comments on Welsh issues and campaigning.

Outside politics, Alison is also a member of the British Council’s future leaders network the Transatlantic Network 2020, attempts to remember how to ride a horse, practices hanging off mountains and indulges her passion for shoes and cake. You can follow her on twitter.
