About Jerry Lockspeiser

Jerry Lockspeiser is a wine-industry expert, successful entrepreneur, author and business consultant.

A Masters degree in African Politics at Edinburgh and time as a youth worker in Leeds preceded his business career. His first compnay, Vinceremos Wines, pioneered the importation of Organic and Third World wines and spirits into the UK. His second, Bottle Green Ltd sourced, made and branded wines from around the world, becoming a major supplier to the high street multiple sector before being sold in 2004.

Today Jerry is a consultant on global strategy to wine companies in Chile and the UK and co-owner of a small UK based software company.

Jerry has a long term interest in global equality and development issues. In 2007 he created the first ‘Call My Wine Bluff’ event in support of the work of ActionAid. In 2010 he launched not-for-profit wine brand Millione to fund the building of primary schools in Sierra Leone.

Jerry co-wrote ‘The Thorson’s Organic Wine Guide’ in 1990. He is a fellow of the RSA.
