Read moreJohn Parry was born in North Woolwich in East London during the year the Olympics were last in London (1948), in a 2-up-2-down, since demolished and now the end of London City Airport runway, to a sports mad family. His Dad was a county table tennis player and played against Fred Perry and Johnny Leach, whilst his Grandad was a ‘Bookies Runner’ (though he didn’t run anywhere, just sat in the corner of the Henley Arms taking bets on horses, dogs, football and any other sport you can think of). Grandad was also a huge WOOLWICH ARSENAL fan, as was John’s Dad, who was born in Shoreditch, and followed them as THE ARSENAL. John however, turned away from the dark side in 1957 and began a 54 year journey of highs and lows as a West Ham FANatic. In 1963 (WHU lost in cup quarters to Liverpool) John started work as a runner (must be in his genes) for Hammer Films in Soho and he has been fortunate to work in Films, TV, Exhibition, Road Shows, Design and Print for 48 years, without 1 days unemployment.
John’s passions are his wife and 2 daughters, football, golf, tennis, cricket, rugby, and all competitive sport as well as a love of music (Beatle mad), Film (best ever Godfather 2) and Theatre as well as being addicted to some TV - 24, Sopranos, Luther to name a few. He is also interested in all things political. He is the founder of Parry Marketing and a director of The Marstan Press Ltd.
