About Jonathan Sheppard

Jonathan was born in 1975 in Chesterfield. He joined the Conservative party in 1992 and went on to study a politics degree at the University of York. Whilst there he was selected as the youngest candidate for the Referendum Party, set up by Sir James Goldsmith, and contested the City of York constituency in 1997. He has held numerous positions within the Conservative Party including, Association Chairman, and fought the safe Labour seat of Bassetlaw in 2005.

Professionally he has worked at Royal Mail and Boots the Chemist in the field of Public Affairs, and more recently has acted as an adviser to a leading recruiter in the field of communications.

In 2005 he set up Tory Radio allowing him to conduct interviews with key personnel from the Conservative side of politics, in a style that has been likened to Sir David Frost.

Jonathan lives in the East Midlands with his wife Julie.
