About Kate Maltby
Kate Maltby blogs here on Anglo-American politics, culture and education issues. She’s a feminist Conservative Anglican, which makes her unpopular with everyone. After stints at Oxford and Yale, she is about to commence a PhD at UCL, on Elizabeth I’s little-known role in later life as a translator of Latin into English verse, and its implications for English literary identity. She is also the theatre critic for The Spectator’s Arts Blog.
In addition to The Spectator, the publications for which she has written include Standpoint, The Times Literary Supplement, The Huffington Post, The Financial Times, and The New Culture Forum.
