About Lionel Zetter

Lionel was born in Glasgow and educated at Berkhamsted School and the University of Sussex. He has worked for the Media Information Group and Political Research & Communications International. He was MD of Parliamentary Monitoring Services Ltd and Political Wizard Ltd, and non-executive Deputy Chairman of Dods. He is now a Director of the Enterprise Forum, Managing Director of Zetter’s Political Services Ltd, and Vice President of Public Affairs Asia.

Politically Lionel has chaired two Conservative Associations, and worked at CCO. He has also been a general election agent, and stood for Parliament n Edmonton in 2005. He is a Fellow of the CIPR and of the Royal Society of Arts, and a member of the NUJ. He was President of the CIPR in 2007, and Chairman of the Government Affairs Group. He has written and spoken widely on public affairs and politics, and made frequent media appearances. He is author of the ‘Political Campaigning Handbook’, ‘Lobbying – the Art of Political Persuasion’ and ‘Blueprint – the Policies and Personalities of the Conservative Government’, and Managing Editor of Zetter’s Political Companion.

Lionel was voted 2008 Personality of the Year and is in the PR Week Power Book.
